I know the site’s been quiet for the month of August, but I was still kicking around instagram for my annual summer project, Black Gum: 13 Atomic Flavors, focusing once again on Black Gum, with a few new characters and ideas. And I still plan on working on a Black Gum comic/zine for publication in the next couple of months.
However, October is less than a month away, and that is when Forsaken Stars blooms and thrives, especially when we’re going to be celebrating nine years online! So I have a lot of Forsaken Stars-centric ideas in mind, including a Forsaken Stars themed Inktober 2018 Prompt List! Which you can check out on my instagram @robsojourn now!
So yeah, there’s a lot going on, so without further ado, here is an update on my upcoming events:

Thursday, September 6, “It’s More Fun to Compute” Arthop at Chris Sorensen Studio Sorensen’s, 5PM to 8PM
I’ll be showing a couple of pieces from the Spiral Legion Art Collection. This is going to be a fun night!

A collaborative exhibit of multiple emerging artists and their ideals of visual culture in an array of individual pieces and through a variety of mediums.

Using Watercolors and mixed media, Nancy depicts the Creators regulations in nature, in both small detailed painting and landscapes.

Monday, October 8, 2018 – Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples’ Day – Since I have this day off from the day job, we may do most of the celebrating of the Anniversary of Forsaken Stars on this day on Facebook, with an AMA, giveaways, and spotlighting some favorite artists and authors!

Saturday, October 20, 10AM to 5PM – TASTE THE ARTS in Visalia, CA
This is a biggie — Much like Tastemakers, but with about a hundred artists participating, this expands out from the Old Lumberyard and connects to Main Street! This is the largest outdoor even in the South Valley! You do NOT WANT TO MISS THIS ONE! My Artist Booth will be 116, On Garden Street, between Center Avenue and Main Street.
