Science Fiction & Fantasy Festival
It’s a Science-Fiction and Fantasy Weekend at the Clovis Book Barn Folks!
Friday, April 12, 2013 at 6:30PM I’ll be MCing the Open Mic Night. As usual, this is a public, family-friendly, free event, open to fiction, poetry, music and comedy.
THEN, on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM, I will be participating in the First Annual Science Fiction and Fantasy Festival as an author and and artist, sketching and signing and talking about my science-fiction and horror projects Forsaken Stars and Spiral Legion. If you want to bring the kids, I’ll also have my DC, Marvel and Star Wars: The Clone Wars reference material handy to sketch their favorite (or obscure) heroes (or villains)! My most recent “claim to fame” is doing the cover art for Jim D. Geiser’s The Return of Satan.
Fellow Fresno Scifi & Fantasy Writers Roh Morgon (Watcher, The Last Trace), Steven Hammond (Rise of the Penguins), Ed Smith, Mellie Smith and Christopher Wood (I Dreamed A Crooked Dream Anthology) will also be in attendance.
Other local authors include paranormal fiction writer Christopher Allan Poe (The Portal), poet, essayist and non-fiction writer Daniel D. Davis (From Ancient Aliens to the Shift: The Grand Unified Theory) and R. A. Swart, whose latest piece of fiction titled Victor and Tristan blends poetry, philosophy and fantasy elements.
There will be trivia challenges, author talks/readings, prizes and refreshments!
