New Projects with the Fresno Sci-Fi & Fantasy Writers
I have been working on a couple stories for the Fresno Sci-Fi and Fantasy Writers 2011 Anthology. Mostly doing a tremendous amount of research and gathering reference material. One story will be illustrated, either comic format or illustrated story format, and the other is a short story. Some concept art for the illustrated story done yesterday. I completed the first draft of the short story earlier this week, so I’m pretty jazzed about that.
It’s incredibly satisfying to collaborate with the fsfw, a great bunch of people who are talented, friendly, helpful and ambitious and who have already accomplished so much in the two years they’ve been together.
They recently sold out of the I Dreamed A Crooked Dream 2010 Anthology hardback they had on hand here locally. So if you do live in Fresno and don’t have a copy yet, head on over to fsfw.net or their facebook page and get in touch with one of them to snag a signed paperback! If you don’t live in or near Fresno, you can still order an unsigned copy at the fsfw.net store. I Dreamed a Crooked Dream was recently reviewed by Read All Day blogger Nina Sankovich. Check it out!
We’ll be doing readings from the 2010 Anthology and giving sneak previews of the 2011 Anthology at Borders at Riverpark March 12, so Mark Your Calendars!
I should have a Forsaken Stars page up before the week is out, but I wanted you folks to know what’s been going on. I wish I could draw as fast as I write!
