I’ve always been fascinated with blondes. There’s something angelic about them. Their light hair and eyes and skin, especially when the light hits them, they seem almost translucent. Our Captain Sera is a blonde, and lately I’ve stumbled across actresses, models, and even a couple of singers that have something of Sera in them. So I thought I would compile a list for your reading and viewing pleasure of some of my all-time favorite blondes, and even a few new ones that have hit the scene that I think are worth note. (I know women are prone to change their hair color, but I’ve tried to list those that are, well, either mostly natural or fairly committed to the color they’ve chosen.)

Leeza Gibbons—As a kid, I couldn’t take my eyes off her legs while she sat in the anchor chair while co-hosting Entertainment Tonight. Every one made a big deal out of Mary Hart’s legs, but for me, it was all about Leeza’s gams! Her twitter bio lists her as a tv/radio personality, philanthropist, caregiver advocate, entrepreneur, author, and inspirational speaker. She will be co-hosting the syndicated news magazine show America Now beginning September 12^th.

Aimee Teegarden–All I know about her is that I’d like to know more about her. She starred in Friday Night Lights, which I did not watch, but I’m hoping to catch her in Scream 4 and Prom and her upcoming web series Aim High.

Kirsten Storms–Currently Maxie Jones on General Hospital, most folks recognize her for her time on Days of Our Lives as Belle Black and die hard fans know her as Disney’s Zenon. The words perky and moxie come to mind when I think of Kirsten Storms. That and, well, supercute.

Taylor Swift—It’s hard to believe Taylor Swift released her first single “Tim McGraw,” then her self-titled album five years ago

already! She has 6.7 million followers on Twitter, and her latest single “Mean” strikes out at her critics. She’s already writing songs striking out at her critics? She’s 21! Michael Jackson didn’t bust out “Leave Me Alone” until he was nearly 29, and he’d been in the music business since he was five! Anyway, Taylor’s song is fairly innocuous and the video is mild by comparison. I hope she maintains her openness and charm for many years to come.
