In the midst of battling the shadow waves comes a distant memory. Who is she? What does she mean to Kizo? Does it matter so long after everything he knew has perished? But there is a feeling–!
This piece was inspired by a shot by one of my favorite models, Johannie Valdés, check out her stuff (VERY NSFW) on twitter or tumblr or her tamer stuff on facebook. While “A Distant Memory” isn’t her likeness nor quite the tone of the photo that inspired it, I loved the hair and peekaboo style of the shot and I tried to capture the spirit of freedom that is in much of Johannie’s work.
So for the facial features, while I had no particular model in mind, I did do my best to evolve the head of a doe into more of a humanoid head, though I gave up trying to fit small horns on it.
